Pandelela Rinong

Pandelela Rinong, born on March second, nineteen ninety-three, is a distinguished Malaysian diver and swimmer. She has made a significant mark in the world of competitive diving, earning two Olympic medals and seven World Championships medals throughout her career.

Her journey in the Olympics began at the two thousand eight Summer Olympics, where she competed in the 10m platform event, finishing in twenty-seventh place. However, her breakthrough came at the two thousand twelve Summer Olympics, where she made history by winning a bronze medal in the 10m platform event. This achievement not only made her the first Malaysian female athlete to secure an Olympic medal but also the first in any sport outside of badminton.

Pandelela's prowess continued to shine at the two thousand sixteen Summer Olympics, where she, alongside Cheong Jun Hoong, clinched a silver medal in the 10m synchronized platform event. Her remarkable achievements have inspired many and solidified her status as a trailblazer in Malaysian sports.
