Park Bom, born on March 24, 1984, is a celebrated South Korean singer, widely recognized as a prominent member of the iconic girl group 2NE1. This group not only achieved immense popularity in South Korea but also made significant waves internationally, solidifying their status as one of the most beloved girl groups worldwide.
Her musical journey commenced in 2006 under the auspices of YG Entertainment, where she showcased her vocal talents by featuring on tracks with fellow label-mates such as Big Bang, Lexy, and Masta Wu. In 2009, she took center stage as the main vocalist of 2NE1, captivating audiences with her powerful voice and unique style.
During her time with YG Entertainment, Park Bom released two solo singles that topped the Gaon Digital Chart: 'You and I' in 2009 and 'Don't Cry' in 2011. Her contributions to the music industry were recognized when she received the Best Digital Single award at the 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
After 2NE1 disbanded in 2016, Park Bom transitioned away from YG Entertainment in November of the same year.
