Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem

Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem, born on April fourth, nineteen fifty-two, has been a prominent figure in the Orthodox Church since his election as the 141st primate in two thousand five. He is recognized as the Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and all Palestine, Syria, Arabia, beyond the Jordan River, Cana of Galilee, and Holy Zion.

His election on August twenty-second, two thousand five, was a unanimous decision by the Holy Synod of Jerusalem, succeeding the deposed Irenaios. Theophilos' appointment received confirmation from the Eastern Orthodox synod of Constantinople and was endorsed by the Jordanian government on September twenty-fourth, two thousand five, followed by the Palestinian Authority.

Despite facing initial objections from Israeli authorities, Theophilos was enthroned on November twenty-second, two thousand five. His election was officially recognized by the Israeli government on December sixteenth, two thousand seven, marking a significant moment in his ecclesiastical journey.

Before ascending to the patriarchate, Theophilos served as the Eastern Orthodox Archbishop of Tabor, where he gained valuable experience that would later inform his leadership in Jerusalem.
