Patrice Rushen

Patrice Rushen, born on September thirtieth, nineteen fifty-four, is a celebrated American jazz pianist and R&B singer whose multifaceted talents extend to songwriting, record production, and music direction. With a career that spans several decades, she has made significant contributions to the music industry, showcasing her skills as a multi-instrumentalist and performer.

Her notable achievements include receiving nominations at the twenty-fifth Annual Grammy Awards for her hit single, 'Forget Me Nots', which was recognized for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Additionally, her instrumental track 'Number One' was nominated for Best R&B Instrumental, both featured on her acclaimed seventh studio album, 'Straight from the Heart', released in nineteen eighty-two.

Beyond her recording career, Rushen has dedicated herself to education in the arts.
