Patricia Bauer

Patricia J. Bauer, born on February twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-seven, is a distinguished psychologist and academic currently serving as the Asa Griggs Candler Professor of Psychology at Emory University. Her research primarily delves into cognitive development, particularly focusing on the formation of early memories in children and the various influences that shape these memories, including parental guidance, peer interactions, and environmental factors.

Bauer's work has significantly contributed to the understanding of childhood amnesia and the intricate relationship between social, cognitive, and neural changes in the development of autobiographical memory. Her insights have paved the way for further exploration in this vital area of psychology.
