Patricia Espinosa

Patricia Espinosa, born on October twenty-first, nineteen fifty-eight, is a distinguished Mexican diplomat and politician known for her significant contributions to international diplomacy and climate change advocacy.

From two thousand sixteen to two thousand twenty-two, she held the prestigious position of executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, where she played a pivotal role in global climate negotiations and initiatives.

Prior to her tenure at the UN, Espinosa served as the Secretary of Foreign Affairs under President Felipe Calderón, showcasing her leadership in shaping Mexico's foreign policy. Her diplomatic journey also includes serving as the Mexican Ambassador to Austria, Germany, Slovenia, and Slovakia.
