Patricia Krenwinkel, born on December third, nineteen forty-seven, is a notorious American convicted murderer and former member of the infamous Manson Family. She gained infamy for her involvement in the brutal murders that took place on August ninth, nineteen sixty-nine, where she, along with Tex Watson and Susan Atkins, took the lives of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and four others at the residence located at one hundred fifty Cielo Drive in Benedict Canyon, Los Angeles.
During her time with Charles Manson's group, Krenwinkel was known by several aliases, including Big Patty, Yellow, Marnie Reeves, and Mary Ann Scott. However, within the inner circle of The Family, she was most commonly referred to as Katie. Her life took a dark turn as she became deeply entrenched in the cult's violent ideology, leading to her participation in one of the most shocking crime sprees in American history.
As of now, Krenwinkel holds the grim distinction of being the longest-incarcerated female inmate in the California penal system, following the death of fellow Manson cult member Susan Atkins in two thousand nine and the release of Leslie Van Houten in two thousand twenty-three. Although she was recommended for parole in two thousand twenty-five, this recommendation was ultimately reversed by Governor Gavin Newsom, leaving her future uncertain.
