Patrick Bouchard

Patrick Bouchard, born in nineteen seventy-four, is a distinguished Canadian animator, film director, and screenwriter. He honed his craft at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, where he created his first animated film, Jean Leviériste, showcasing his early talent and passion for animation.

Throughout his career, Bouchard has garnered significant recognition in the film industry. He is a four-time recipient of the prestigious Prix Jutra/Prix Iris for Best Animated Short Film, awarded for his remarkable works: The Brainwashers in two thousand three, Dehors novembre in two thousand six, Bydlo in two thousand twelve, and The Subject in two thousand eighteen.

In addition to his wins, Bouchard has been nominated three times for both the Genie Award and the Canadian Screen Award in the category of Best Animated Short Film, further solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in Canadian animation.
