Patrick Head

Patrick Head, born on June fifth, nineteen forty-six, is a distinguished British engineer and designer renowned for his pivotal role in the world of motorsport. As the co-founder and former Engineering Director of the Williams Formula One team, he has left an indelible mark on the sport.

From the start of the nineteen seventy-seven season, Head served as the technical director at Williams Grand Prix Engineering for an impressive twenty-seven years. During this time, he was instrumental in driving numerous innovations that shaped the landscape of Formula One racing.

Head's expertise and vision were crucial in overseeing the design and construction of Williams cars, a responsibility he held until May two thousand four. At that point, he transitioned his role to Sam Michael, marking the end of an era for the team.
