Patrick van Aanholt

Patrick van Aanholt, born on August 29, 1990, is a talented Dutch professional footballer who currently plays as a left-back for Eredivisie club Sparta Rotterdam. His journey in professional football began at Chelsea, where he faced limited opportunities and spent significant time on loan at five different clubs, honing his skills and gaining valuable experience.

In 2014, Van Aanholt made a significant move to Sunderland for a transfer fee of approximately one and a half million pounds. His career took another leap forward in January 2017 when he joined Crystal Palace, with the transfer fee eventually rising to fourteen million pounds. After a successful stint, he was released in June 2021 and subsequently signed with Turkish club Galatasaray on a free transfer.

In January 2023, Van Aanholt was loaned to PSV, with his loan deal extended until June 2024. He later made a permanent move to fellow Dutch club Sparta Rotterdam, continuing to showcase his defensive prowess and attacking capabilities on the field.
