Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Paul Comtois

Paul Comtois, born on August twenty-second, nineteen ninety-five, in Pierreville, Quebec, was a notable figure in Canadian politics and agriculture. He was the son of Urbain Comtois and Elizabeth McCaffrey, and his career spanned various roles, including that of a farmer, agronomist, and agrologist.

Comtois first entered the political arena with aspirations to represent his constituents in the House of Commons of Canada. Although he faced setbacks in the nineteen thirty federal election and a subsequent by-election in nineteen thirty-three, his perseverance paid off when he was elected in the nineteen fifty-seven election for the riding of Nicolet—Yamaska as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party.

His political career flourished as he was re-elected in the nineteen fifty-eight election. During his tenure from nineteen fifty-seven to nineteen sixty-one, he served as the Minister of Mines and Technical Surveys, contributing significantly to the development of Canada's mining sector.

In nineteen sixty-one, Comtois was appointed the twenty-first Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, a prestigious position he held until his tragic death in nineteen sixty-six. He lost his life in a fire that engulfed his official residence while he heroically attempted to save the Blessed Sacrament from the private chapel. Overcome by flames, he was only able to recover cruets, as the tabernacle was locked.
