Paul Götz

Paul Götz, born in 1883, was a prominent German astronomer renowned for his significant contributions to the field of astronomy during the early twentieth century. Between the years of nineteen hundred and nineteen hundred five, he discovered twenty minor planets, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication to celestial studies.

In nineteen hundred seven, Götz completed his Ph.D. dissertation at the Landessternwarte Heidelberg-Königstuhl, also known as the Königstuhl Observatory, which is situated near Heidelberg. This institution was a pivotal center for asteroid discovery, led by the esteemed Max Wolf. During this period, Götz collaborated with several notable contemporaries, including Raymond Smith Dugan and Joseph Helffrich, all of whom made significant contributions to asteroid research.
