Paul Ranger

Paul D. Ranger, born on September 12, 1984, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He is best known for his significant contributions to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the National Hockey League (NHL), where he showcased his skills and passion for the game.

Ranger's career took a challenging turn when he stepped away from professional hockey for nearly three years, grappling with severe depression. This period of absence was a testament to his resilience and determination to overcome personal struggles.

In a remarkable comeback, Ranger returned to the ice during the 2012–13 season, joining the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Toronto Marlies. His perseverance paid off when he signed a one-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on July twenty-fourth, two thousand thirteen, marking his return to the NHL.

Beyond his playing career, Ranger has transitioned into coaching, currently serving as an assistant coach for Ontario Tech University in U Sports. His journey through the highs and lows of professional sports has made him a source of inspiration for many.
