Paulína Bátovská Fialková

Paulína Bátovská Fialková, born on October twenty-fifth, nineteen ninety-two, is a distinguished former Slovak biathlete known for her remarkable achievements in the sport. She represented Slovakia at the Biathlon World Championships in two consecutive years, twenty twelve and twenty thirteen, and showcased her talent on the global stage during the Winter Olympics in Sochi in twenty fourteen and again in twenty eighteen. Notably, at the twenty eighteen Winter Olympics, she secured a commendable fifth place in the challenging fifteen kilometer individual event.

In addition to her Olympic pursuits, Paulína made her mark in summer biathlon, becoming the world champion in sprint at the world championship held in Nové Město na Moravě in the summer of twenty eighteen. Her dedication to the sport is mirrored in her family, as her younger sister, Ivona Fialková, also competed for Slovakia in biathlon, highlighting a legacy of athletic prowess.

Academically, Paulína achieved significant milestones, graduating from the Faculty of Law at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, in twenty eighteen, where she earned a Magister degree. Her academic contributions include a bachelor thesis focused on the possession of firearms and ammunition for sporting purposes, completed in twenty fifteen, and a diploma thesis addressing International Law and Control Mechanisms of Doping in Sport.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to sports, Paulína was honored with the prestigious Slovak award, Slovenka roka, in twenty nineteen, where she was celebrated as the Slovak woman of the year in the sports category. In the spring of twenty twenty-two, she married former Slovak race walker Miloš Bátovský, and she now competes under the double name Bátovská Fialková.
