Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Pauline Nyiramasuhuko

Pauline Nyiramasuhuko, born in April nineteen forty-six, is a notable Rwandan politician who served as the Minister for Family Welfare and the Advancement of Women. Her political career, however, is overshadowed by her involvement in the tragic events of the Rwandan genocide in nineteen ninety-four.

During this dark period, Nyiramasuhuko was convicted of inciting troops and militia to commit acts of rape. This heinous act led to her being tried for genocide and incitement to rape as part of the infamous 'Butare Group' at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) located in Arusha, Tanzania.

In June twenty eleven, she faced justice when she was convicted on seven charges and subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment. Notably, Nyiramasuhuko holds the distinction of being the first woman to be convicted of genocide by the ICTR, as well as the first woman to be found guilty of genocidal rape.
