Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Paulo Silas

Paulo Silas do Prado Pereira, born on August twenty-seventh, nineteen sixty-five, is a distinguished Brazilian football pundit, coach, and former professional player. Known simply as Silas, he made his mark in the world of football as a central midfielder, breaking through at São Paulo in the mid-1980s. His career took him across continents, with stints at Sporting CP in Portugal, Cesena and Sampdoria in Italy, and San Lorenzo in Argentina, among others.

Silas's international career was equally impressive. He was a key player for Brazil's under-20 team, contributing to their triumph in both South American and world titles in nineteen eighty-five. Over the course of his career, he earned thirty-four caps for the national team from nineteen eighty-six to nineteen ninety-two. Silas represented Brazil in two FIFA World Cups, in nineteen eighty-six and nineteen ninety, as well as in the Copa América tournaments of nineteen eighty-seven and nineteen eighty-nine, where he celebrated victory.

Transitioning to coaching in two thousand seven, Silas took the helm at Avaí, where he enjoyed three separate spells, leading the team to their best finish in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, securing sixth place in two thousand nine. His managerial journey also included brief tenures at Grêmio and Flamengo in the same league, as well as positions at Al-Arabi and Al-Gharafa in the Qatar Stars League.
