Throughout his illustrious career, De la Rosa participated in one hundred and seven Grands Prix, representing teams such as Arrows, Jaguar, McLaren, Sauber, and HRT. He made a memorable debut at the nineteen ninety-nine Australian Grand Prix, where he impressively scored a point in his first outing. Over the years, he accumulated a total of thirty-five championship points, highlighted by a podium finish at the two thousand six Hungarian Grand Prix.

In addition to his Formula One achievements, De la Rosa made history as the first Spanish driver to clinch a National Championship in Japanese open-wheel racing, winning both the Formula Nippon Championship and the All-Japan GT Championship in nineteen ninety-seven. His success in Japan solidified his reputation as a formidable competitor in the motorsport arena.
