Pedro de la Rosa

Pedro de la Rosa, born on February twenty-four, nineteen seventy-one, is a distinguished Spanish former racing driver and motorsport executive, renowned for his contributions to Formula One from nineteen ninety-nine to two thousand twelve. Hailing from Barcelona, he initially made his mark in radio-controlled racing, securing numerous national and continental titles before transitioning to karting at the age of seventeen.

Throughout his illustrious career, De la Rosa participated in one hundred and seven Grands Prix, representing teams such as Arrows, Jaguar, McLaren, Sauber, and HRT. He made a memorable debut at the nineteen ninety-nine Australian Grand Prix, where he impressively scored a point in his first outing. Over the years, he accumulated a total of thirty-five championship points, highlighted by a podium finish at the two thousand six Hungarian Grand Prix.

In addition to his Formula One achievements, De la Rosa made history as the first Spanish driver to clinch a National Championship in Japanese open-wheel racing, winning both the Formula Nippon Championship and the All-Japan GT Championship in nineteen ninety-seven. His success in Japan solidified his reputation as a formidable competitor in the motorsport arena.

After retiring from racing, De la Rosa transitioned into broadcasting, serving as a commentator and pundit for various networks including La Sexta, Telecinco, Movistar, and DAZN. He founded Drivex in two thousand five and took on the role of technical and sporting director for Techeetah in Formula E during the two thousand eighteen to nineteen season, where he celebrated victory with the Formula E Teams' Championship. Since two thousand twenty-two, he has also been an ambassador for Aston Martin.
