Peggy Lee

Norma Deloris Egstrom, born on May 26, 1920, and known to the world as Peggy Lee, was a multifaceted American artist whose influence spanned seven decades. Her journey began as a vocalist on local radio, where her talent quickly caught the attention of the music industry. Lee's career took a significant leap when she joined Benny Goodman's big band, where she honed her craft and developed a sophisticated persona that would define her legacy.

Throughout her illustrious career, Peggy Lee was not only a celebrated singer but also a prolific songwriter and actress. She created a unique blend of music and poetry, recording conceptual albums that showcased her innovative spirit. With over one thousand one hundred masters to her name and more than two hundred seventy co-written songs, she earned the title of the 'Queen of American pop music.'
