Singleton also captivated audiences on the airwaves as the star of the popular Blondie radio program from nineteen thirty-nine until nineteen fifty.

In addition to her film and radio work, Singleton lent her voice to the character Jane Jetson in the animated series The Jetsons, delighting viewers from nineteen sixty-two to nineteen sixty-three. Her contributions to the entertainment industry were not limited to acting; she was also a pioneering labor leader.

Singleton made history as the first woman to serve as president of an AFL-CIO union and held two terms as president of the American Guild of Variety Artists. Her advocacy for workers' rights was evident when she testified before a Senate subcommittee in nineteen sixty-two regarding the treatment of women variety workers. In nineteen sixty-seven, she took a stand for her fellow performers by leading a strike of the Radio City Rockettes.
