Per Kirkeby

Per Kirkeby, born on September first, nineteen thirty-eight, is a multifaceted Danish artist renowned for his contributions as a painter, sculptor, poet, and filmmaker. His artistic journey has led him to create works that resonate across the globe, with exhibitions in prestigious venues and representation in significant public collections such as the Tate, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Centre Pompidou.

In recognition of his exceptional talent and influence in contemporary art, Kirkeby was inducted into the Danish Academy in nineteen eighty-two. His accolades include the Art Prize of NORD/LB in nineteen ninety, awarded for outstanding contributions to contemporary art, and the Coutts Contemporary Art Foundation Award along with the Henrik Steffens Award in nineteen ninety-six.
