Per-Kristian Foss

Per-Kristian Foss, born on July nineteenth, nineteen fifty, is a prominent Norwegian politician affiliated with the Conservative Party. His political career began in earnest when he was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Oslo in nineteen eighty-one, a position he held for six consecutive terms. Prior to this, he served as a deputy representative from nineteen seventy-seven to nineteen eighty-one. His influence extended beyond the parliament as he took on significant roles, including Minister of Finance from two thousand one to two thousand five during the second cabinet Bondevik.

Foss made history in two thousand two when he briefly acted as Prime Minister, a notable moment in his career. He is recognized for being the first openly gay minister in a Norwegian government, a milestone that has contributed to his legacy. He lives in a registered partnership with Jan Erik Knarbakk, marking him as a trailblazer for LGBTQ+ representation in politics.
