Percy Liza

Carlos Percy Liza Espinoza, known affectionately as Mbaliza, was born on April 10, 2000, in Chimbote, Peru. His striking resemblance to football star Kylian Mbappé earned him this nickname, and he has since made a name for himself in the world of professional football. Currently, he plays as a forward for Melgar in the Peruvian Primera División.

At the age of seventeen, Liza moved to Lima, where he joined Sporting Cristal. His journey began in the reserve team, where he quickly showcased his talent, leading to a remarkable victory in the Torneo de Promoción y Reserva in 2018. Just a year later, he made his official debut with the first team, stepping onto the pitch for the first time in April 2019.

Despite facing challenges with injuries early in his career, Liza persevered and returned to the reserve team, where he helped secure a two-time championship. His determination paid off as he became a key player for Sporting Cristal, contributing to the club's success in the 2020 season, where he celebrated his first title.

In the following season, Liza continued to shine, playing a pivotal role in the team's triumphs, including winning the Torneo Apertura and the Copa Bicentenario, while also finishing as a runner-up in the tournament. His journey is a testament to his resilience and passion for the sport.
