Perianne Jones

Perianne Jones, born on February 18, 1985, is a distinguished Canadian cross-country skier whose competitive career spanned from 2002 to 2015. She made her mark on the international stage by representing Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver, where she participated in both the women's individual sprint classic and the 15km pursuit events.

During the Olympic sprint competition on February 17, 2010, Jones showcased her skills, finishing in 41st place with a time of three minutes and fifty-four seconds, trailing the leader by sixteen point twenty-two seconds. Her Olympic experience was a significant highlight in her athletic journey.

In addition to her Olympic participation, Jones competed at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 2009, held in Liberec. There, she achieved notable results, finishing sixth in the team sprint, 48th in the 10 km, and 54th in the individual sprint events, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to the sport.

Jones's career also included impressive performances in the World Cup circuit, where her best finish was third in a team sprint event in Milan, Italy, in 2012. Furthermore, she secured her best individual finish in Canada in 2009, placing 19th in an individual sprint event, solidifying her reputation as a competitive athlete in cross-country skiing.
