Peter Franzen

Peter Franzen, a distinguished English journalist, dedicated his career to the world of regional news, culminating in his role as editor of the Eastern Daily Press in Norwich. He held this esteemed position from 1993 until his retirement in 2009, leaving a lasting impact on the publication and its readership.

Before ascending to the editorship of the Eastern Daily Press, Franzen served as the executive editor of the same title and was the editor of the Great Yarmouth Mercury. His journey in journalism began when he joined Archant, the publisher of these newspapers, in 1971, marking the start of a prolific career in the industry.

In recognition of his contributions to journalism and the community, Peter Franzen was honored with the Order of the British Empire in the 2004/2005 New Year Honours list, a testament to his dedication and influence in the field.
