Peter Roskam

Peter Roskam, born on September thirteenth, nineteen sixty-one, is a distinguished American politician, lawyer, teacher, and businessperson. He served as the U.S. representative for Illinois's sixth congressional district for six terms from two thousand seven to two thousand nineteen. A member of the Republican Party, Roskam held the position of chief deputy majority whip from two thousand eleven to two thousand fourteen, where he ranked fourth among House Republican leaders.

Before his tenure in Congress, Roskam made significant contributions in the Illinois Senate and the Illinois House of Representatives. His leadership was further exemplified when he chaired the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Tax Policy during the one hundred fifteenth Congress, playing a crucial role in shaping tax legislation.
