Peter Worrell

Peter J. Worrell, born on August 18, 1977, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey player known for his formidable presence on the ice. Over the course of his career, he played seven seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), representing both the Florida Panthers and the Colorado Avalanche. Worrell's reputation as one of the most feared enforcers in the game was well-earned, as he consistently demonstrated his toughness and tenacity.

In the 1996-97 season, Worrell led the major junior leagues in penalty minutes, a testament to his aggressive playing style. His prowess in this regard continued into the NHL, where he topped the league in penalty minutes during the 2001-02 season. This combination of skill and intimidation made him a notable figure in professional hockey.

After retiring from professional play, Worrell transitioned into coaching, bringing his extensive knowledge of the game to the next generation of players. In 2018, he was appointed as an assistant coach for the Fayetteville Marksmen in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), where he continues to influence the sport he loves.
