Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Petter Solberg

Petter Solberg, born on 18 November 1974, is a celebrated former professional rally and rallycross driver, often affectionately referred to as 'Mr. Hollywood'. His journey in the World Rally Championship began in 1998, and by 1999, he had joined the prestigious Ford factory team.

In 2000, Solberg forged a remarkable partnership with the Subaru World Rally Team, where he achieved significant milestones. He finished as the runner-up to Marcus Grönholm in 2002 and made history in 2003 by becoming the first Norwegian to clinch the drivers' world title. Over the next two seasons, he continued to showcase his talent, finishing as runner-up to the legendary Sébastien Loeb.

After Subaru's exit from the WRC at the end of the 2008 season, Solberg established the Petter Solberg World Rally Team, competing with various Citroën models. In 2012, he made a notable return to a factory team, rejoining Ford, twelve years after his initial debut with them.

Transitioning to rallycross in 2013, Solberg achieved remarkable success, becoming the inaugural winner of the FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2014, with five race wins and nine podium finishes. He repeated this success the following year and later founded the PSRX Volkswagen Sweden team in partnership with Volkswagen Motorsport, winning the Team's Championship in both 2017 and 2018 before retiring from full-time motorsport.

Beyond his own achievements, Solberg's legacy continues through his son, Oliver Solberg, who is also a rally driver. The duo has frequently competed together at the Race of Champions, showcasing their shared passion for motorsport.
