Peyton Manning, born on March 24, 1976, is a celebrated American former professional football player renowned for his exceptional career as a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). Over 18 seasons, Manning earned the nickname 'the Sheriff' and became a pivotal figure in the sport, spending 14 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and four with the Denver Broncos. His legacy is cemented as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, a member of the illustrious Manning football dynasty.

The second son of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning, Peyton is the older brother of Eli Manning and the uncle of Arch Manning, a promising quarterback for the Texas Longhorns. He showcased his talent at the collegiate level with the Tennessee Volunteers, where he garnered prestigious accolades, including the Maxwell, Davey O'Brien, and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm awards, culminating in a victory at the 1997 SEC Championship Game.

Manning's professional journey began when he was selected first overall in the 1998 NFL Draft by the Colts. He transformed the franchise into a formidable playoff contender, leading them to 11 playoff appearances, eight division titles, and a Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl XLI, where he was named MVP. After a challenging neck surgery that sidelined him for the 2011 season, he joined the Broncos, where he continued to excel, leading the team to two Super Bowl appearances and clinching his second championship in Super Bowl 50.
