Phan Thi Kim Phuc

Phan Thị Kim Phúc, born on July 27, 1963, is a remarkable figure whose life story transcends the horrors of war. Known informally as the 'napalm girl,' she gained international recognition as the child depicted in the Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph titled 'The Terror of War.' Captured on June 8, 1972, during the Vietnam War, the image shows a nine-year-old Kim running naked on a road, her back severely burned by a napalm attack from the South Vietnamese Air Force.

This haunting image became a powerful symbol of the Vietnam War, shaping global public opinion and fueling anti-war movements.
