Phil Mackenzie, born on February 25, 1987, is a retired Canadian rugby union player whose career spanned several notable clubs and leagues. He began his journey in rugby at Appleby College and the Oakville Crusaders in Ontario, before moving on to the University of Victoria in British Columbia, where he honed his skills and passion for the sport.

In 2009, Mackenzie took a significant step in his career by signing his first professional contract with Coventry RFC. The following year, he joined Esher RFC, a newly promoted club in the RFU Championship. His contract with Esher also allowed him to train with the prestigious London Wasps, where he gained valuable experience and made regular appearances in the Aviva A League.

On June 6, 2012, Mackenzie made headlines by signing with London Welsh. His journey continued as he transitioned to Sale Sharks on May 1, 2013, ensuring his place in the Aviva Premiership for the 2013–14 season. He made his debut for Sale on September 7, 2013, in a thrilling match against Gloucester, where he played the full eighty minutes on the right wing, contributing to a hard-fought victory.

In early 2016, Mackenzie signed with the San Diego Breakers, where he not only played but also took on the role of captain, showcasing his leadership skills and dedication to the sport.
