Born in Surrey, England, to an English father and a Filipino mother, Younghusband's football journey began in the youth academy of Chelsea. He turned professional in two thousand five with the Chelsea reserve team and had a loan stint with Danish club Esbjerg fB. In two thousand nine, he made the pivotal move to the Philippines, starting with San Beda before joining Loyola Meralco Sparks in two thousand eleven, where he spent the majority of his professional career.

During his time with Loyola Meralco Sparks, Younghusband achieved notable success, winning the United Football League Cup in two thousand thirteen and the PFF National Men's Club Championship in the 2014–15 season. His prowess as a goalscorer was evident as he clinched the United Football League Golden Boot in two thousand twelve, along with three consecutive UFL Cup Golden Boots from two thousand eleven to two thousand thirteen and the UFL Cup Golden Ball in two thousand thirteen. In two thousand seventeen, he transitioned to Davao Aguilas, helping the team secure a runners-up position in the 2018 Copa Paulino Alcantara.
