Philip I of France

Philip I of France, known as L’Amoureux, was born around the year 1052 and ascended to the throne as King of the Franks in 1060. His reign, which lasted nearly forty-eight years, is notable for its length, especially in the context of the early Capetian dynasty. Philip's rule marked a significant period of recovery for the monarchy, which had suffered during the reign of his father, Henry I.
