Pierre Poilievre

Pierre Poilievre, born on June third, nineteen seventy-nine, is a prominent Canadian politician who has been at the forefront of the Conservative Party since 2022, serving as its leader and the leader of the Official Opposition. His political journey began in two thousand four when he was first elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) for the riding of Nepean—Carleton, which later transformed into Carleton. After a brief hiatus, he returned to Parliament in August twenty twenty-five, representing Battle River—Crowfoot.

Raised in Calgary, Alberta, Poilievre moved to Ottawa in two thousand to work with Canadian Alliance leader Stockwell Day. His academic background includes a bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Calgary, which he obtained in two thousand eight. Throughout his career, he has held various roles, including parliamentary secretary positions from two thousand six to two thousand thirteen, and served as the minister for democratic reform and minister of employment and social development during the Harper administration.
