Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan, born on March 30, 1965, is a prominent English broadcaster, journalist, and writer. He embarked on his career in 1988 at the tabloid The Sun, quickly making a name for himself in the competitive world of journalism. By 1994, at the young age of twenty-nine, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, becoming the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in over fifty years.

In 1995, Morgan transitioned to the Daily Mirror, where he served as editor until his dismissal in 2004. His editorial journey continued as he took on the role of editorial director at First News from 2006 to 2007. In 2014, he became the first editor-at-large for the MailOnline's American operation, further solidifying his influence in the media landscape.

As a television presenter, Morgan has hosted several notable programs, including ITV's Piers Morgan's Life Stories from 2009 to 2020 and CNN's Piers Morgan Live from 2011 to 2014. He co-presented the ITV Breakfast program Good Morning Britain alongside Susanna Reid from 2015 to 2021. His role as a judge on talent shows such as America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent showcased his versatility in the entertainment industry.

In March 2021, he left Good Morning Britain following his outspoken criticism of the Oprah interview with Meghan Markle, which led to over fifty-seven thousand complaints to Ofcom. However, he was later cleared of any wrongdoing.
