Pieter Huistra

Pieter Huistra, born on January eighteenth, nineteen sixty-seven, is a distinguished Dutch football coach and former player. His professional playing career took off at Rangers, a prominent club in the Scottish Premier Division, where he showcased his skills from nineteen ninety to nineteen ninety-five. Following his tenure in Scotland, Huistra made a significant move to Japan, joining Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the J. League.

Transitioning from player to coach, Huistra embarked on his coaching journey in two thousand one as the head coach of Jong Groningen. His four-year stint there laid the groundwork for his subsequent role as assistant coach to Aad de Mos at SBV Vitesse. His coaching acumen further led him to Ajax, where he served as an assistant coach before being appointed as the head coach of their reserve team on April twenty-four, two thousand nine.

In two thousand ten, Huistra returned to Groningen, this time taking the helm as the head coach of the senior team for the two thousand ten to eleven season.
