Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Pietro Filippo Scarlatti

Pietro Filippo Scarlatti, born on January fifth, sixteen seventy-nine in Rome, was a distinguished Italian composer, organist, and choirmaster. As the eldest son of the renowned Alessandro Scarlatti and brother to the celebrated composer Domenico Scarlatti, Pietro was immersed in a rich musical heritage from an early age.

His musical journey commenced in seventeen oh five when he took on the role of choirmaster at the cathedral of Urbino. This position marked the beginning of his contributions to the world of music, showcasing his talents and paving the way for future endeavors.

In seventeen oh eight, Pietro moved to Naples, thanks to his father's influence, where he became an organist at court. His career flourished in this vibrant musical environment, leading to the premiere of his only opera, Clitarco, at Naples' Teatro San Bartolomeo in seventeen twenty-eight, although the score has unfortunately been lost to time.

Beyond his operatic work, Pietro Filippo Scarlatti composed three cantatas and a wealth of keyboard toccatas, one of which was notably recorded by Luciano Sgrizzi. His contributions to music, particularly in the realm of keyboard compositions, remain a testament to his artistic legacy.
