Jordan Terrell Carter, known to the world as Playboi Carti, is a prominent American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and model, born on September 13, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia. He has carved a niche for himself in the music industry with his distinctive vocal style and fashion sense, earning recognition as a key figure in modern hip-hop and a trailblazer of the rage microgenre.

Beginning his musical journey in 2011 under the moniker Sir Cartier, Carter self-released tracks on SoundCloud before signing with Awful Records in 2014. His collaboration with ASAP Rocky's AWGE imprint in 2016 marked a significant turning point in his career. The release of his self-titled debut mixtape in 2017 garnered mainstream attention, peaking at number twelve on the Billboard 200 and featuring hit singles like 'Magnolia' and 'Wokeuplikethis' with Lil Uzi Vert.
