In nineteen fifty-eight, Bergen received an Emmy Award for her compelling portrayal of Helen Morgan in the acclaimed production of Helen Morgan (Playhouse 90). Her stage presence was further recognized in two thousand one when she earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as Carlotta Campion in the celebrated musical Follies.
