Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria

Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria, born on November fourth, nineteen fifty-two, is the 118th and current Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church. He succeeded the late Pope Shenouda III, taking on the significant role of leader of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria.

His papacy officially began on November eighteenth, two thousand twelve, corresponding to the ninth of Hathor in the year 1729 of the Coptic calendar. This transition occurred just two weeks after his selection, marking a pivotal moment in the history of the church.
