Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch

Porfirije, born on July 22, 1961, is a prominent figure in the Eastern Orthodox Church, currently serving as the 46th Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church. His leadership is marked by a deep commitment to faith and community, guiding the church through contemporary challenges.

Before ascending to the patriarchate, Porfirije held the esteemed position of Metropolitan Bishop of Zagreb and Ljubljana from 2014 to 2021. His earlier role as the Titular Bishop of Jegra from 1999 to 2014 laid a strong foundation for his ecclesiastical career, showcasing his dedication to the spiritual needs of his flock.
