Prabhas

Uppalapati Venkata Suryanarayana Prabhas Raju, known simply as Prabhas, is a prominent Indian actor celebrated for his significant contributions to Telugu cinema. Born on October 23, 1979, he has established himself as one of the highest-paid actors in the industry, consistently featuring in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list since 2015. His remarkable journey in film has earned him the title of Rebel Star, a testament to his popularity and influence.

Prabhas made his acting debut in the drama Eeswar in 2002, but it was his role in the action romance Varsham in 2004 that marked his breakthrough. Following this success, he starred in a series of commercially acclaimed films, including Chatrapathi, Bujjigadu, Billa, Darling, Mr. Perfect, and Mirchi, the latter of which earned him a Nandi Award for Best Actor.

His career reached new heights with the epic action duology Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, released in 2015 and 2017, respectively. The latter became the highest-grossing Indian film of all time at that point, propelling Prabhas to international fame and making him the first pan-Indian star. He has continued to captivate audiences with subsequent hits like Saaho, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, and the upcoming Kalki 2898 AD, all of which rank among the highest-grossing Indian films.

Notably, Prabhas is the first Indian actor to have a film gross over one thousand crore rupees worldwide and holds the unique distinction of having six films with a worldwide gross opening exceeding one hundred crore rupees. He is also recognized as the only South Indian actor to achieve six films crossing the one hundred crore net mark in the Hindi market. Furthermore, he made history as the first South Indian actor to be honored with a wax sculpture at Madame Tussauds' museum.
