Pravind Jugnauth

Pravind Jugnauth, born on December twenty-fifth, nineteen sixty-one, is a prominent Mauritian politician and barrister. He is best known for his role as the former Prime Minister of Mauritius, a position he assumed after succeeding his father, Aneerood Jugnauth, who retired as leader of the majority in two thousand seventeen.

As the leader of the Militant Socialist Movement (MSM) party, Jugnauth has been a significant figure in Mauritian politics. His leadership saw the Alliance Morisien coalition achieve victory in the two thousand nineteen Mauritian General Elections, allowing him to continue in office. However, his tenure came to an end following the two thousand twenty-four general election.

Throughout his political career, Jugnauth has held various ministerial portfolios and has also served as the Leader of the Opposition. His contributions to the political landscape of Mauritius have been marked by a commitment to his party and the nation.
