Predrag Radosavljević, widely known as Preki, was born on June 24, 1963, in Yugoslavia. He carved out a remarkable career as both a professional soccer player and a coach. Currently, he serves as an assistant coach for Seattle Sounders FC in Major League Soccer (MLS), showcasing his extensive experience in the sport.

Preki's playing career was distinguished by his time in both indoor and outdoor soccer. He played for notable English clubs such as Everton and Portsmouth, and he was an original player in the MLS, representing the Kansas City Wizards and Miami Fusion. His prowess on the field earned him the prestigious MLS MVP award twice, a record that stood until Lionel Messi matched it in twenty twenty-four.

In addition to his club success, Preki proudly represented the United States national team, participating in the 1998 FIFA World Cup. His contributions to soccer were recognized when he was inducted into the American National Soccer Hall of Fame in two thousand ten, solidifying his legacy in the sport.

After a successful stint as a player, Preki transitioned into coaching, leading teams such as Sacramento Republic FC and Saint Louis FC in the United Soccer League, as well as Toronto FC and Chivas USA in MLS. In two thousand fifteen, he parted ways with Sacramento Republic FC by mutual consent, with speculation surrounding a potential managerial role at Leicester City FC, which ultimately went to Claudio Ranieri.
