Prince Axel of Denmark

Prince Axel of Denmark, born on August twelfth, eighteen eighty-eight, was a distinguished member of the Danish royal family, known for his multifaceted career as a naval officer, businessman, and sports administrator. He was the second son of Prince Valdemar of Denmark and Princess Marie of Orléans, and a proud grandson of King Christian IX of Denmark.

His royal lineage connected him to numerous European monarchs, making him a first cousin to notable figures such as King Christian X of Denmark and King Haakon VII of Norway, as well as to King George V of the United Kingdom and Emperor Nicholas II of Russia. This rich heritage also linked him to Henri, Count of Paris, the Orleanist pretender to the French throne.
