Princess Helena Adelaide of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, born on June first, eighteen eighty-eight, was the third eldest daughter of Friedrich Ferdinand, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein, and Princess Karoline Mathilde of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg. Her lineage placed her within the esteemed House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg.
