Princess Hilda of Nassau

Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Princess Hilda of Nassau

Princess Hilda of Nassau, born on November fifth, eighteen sixty-four, was an esteemed aristocrat and the consort of Grand Duke Frederick II of Baden. As the youngest daughter of Adolphe, Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Hilda's lineage was steeped in royal heritage, with her father having been the Duke of Nassau until his deposition in eighteen sixty-six.

In eighteen eighty-five, Hilda entered into matrimony with Frederick, who would later ascend to the title of Grand Duke. Their union, while significant, did not yield any surviving children. The couple's lives took a momentous turn in September nineteen hundred and seven when they became the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Baden, marking a new chapter in their royal journey.

However, their reign was short-lived, as they were deposed in November nineteen eighteen amidst the upheaval of the German revolution, which saw the fall of all German monarchies. Hilda and Frederick were the last grand ducal couple of Baden, a poignant end to their royal legacy.
