Pritam Kotal, born on August 9, 1993, is a prominent Indian professional footballer known for his defensive prowess. Currently, he plays for the Indian Super League club Chennaiyin and represents the India national team. Kotal's journey in football began in the youth academies of Chirag United and Wari, where he honed his skills before joining Palian Arrows in 2011.
After making 26 appearances for Palian Arrows, Kotal signed with Mohun Bagan in 2013. His career saw him go on loan to Pune City and ATK, before returning to Mohun Bagan in 2017. During his initial tenure with the Mariners, he made a significant impact, scoring three goals in sixty-one appearances.
In 2018, Kotal moved to Delhi Dynamos, where his impressive performances earned him the captain's armband. A year later, he returned to ATK on a permanent basis, contributing to the team's success by winning his second league title in 2020. Following the merger of ATK and Mohun Bagan, Kotal continued to shine, securing his third league title with the newly formed club.
