Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Pushpa Kamal Dahal

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, born Ghanashyam Dahal on December eleventh, nineteen fifty-four, is a prominent Nepalese politician and military personnel. Known popularly as Prachanda, he has made significant contributions to Nepal's political landscape, serving as a member of parliament for the seventh House of Representatives, elected from Eastern Rukum.

Dahal's political journey began in nineteen eighty-one when he joined the Communist Party of Nepal (Fourth Convention). His commitment to left-wing politics was fueled by witnessing severe poverty during his youth. By nineteen eighty-nine, he had risen to the position of general secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (Mashal), which later evolved into the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist). He played a crucial role as the leader of the CPN (M) during the civil war and the subsequent peace process, as well as during the first Nepalese constituent assembly.

In the two thousand eight elections, Dahal's party emerged as the largest, leading to his appointment as prime minister in August of that year. However, his tenure was marked by challenges, including his resignation in May two thousand nine after a controversial attempt to dismiss the army chief was met with opposition from the then President. He returned to power in two thousand sixteen, resigning again in May two thousand seventeen to facilitate a transition to the Nepali Congress' Sher Bahadur Deuba.

After the two thousand twenty-two general election, Dahal was sworn in as prime minister for a third time in December, supported by a coalition of parties. His leadership saw fluctuating alliances, and he remained in power for nineteen months before losing a vote of confidence on July twelfth, two thousand twenty-four. Following his departure from office, he assumed the role of Leader of the Opposition on July fifteenth, two thousand twenty-four, a position he held until September two thousand twenty-five.
