Qandeel Baloch

Qandeel Baloch, born Fouzia Azeem on March 1, 1990, was a trailblazing Pakistani model, actress, and feminist activist. She emerged as the first social media celebrity in Pakistan, captivating audiences with her candid videos that highlighted her daily life, her rights as a woman, and various contentious societal issues.

Her rise to fame began in 2013 when she auditioned for Pakistan Idol, a moment that catapulted her into the limelight. Baloch quickly became an internet sensation, ranking among the top ten most searched individuals in Pakistan. Her content sparked both admiration and criticism, reflecting the polarized views on her bold approach to discussing women's rights and personal freedom.

Tragically, Qandeel's life was cut short on July 15, 2016, when she was murdered by her brothers, who claimed they acted to preserve their family's honor.
