Qazi Muhammad

Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Qazi Muhammad

Qazi Muhammad, born on May first, eighteen ninety-three, was a prominent Iranian Kurdish Islamic cleric and a significant political figure. He is best known for founding the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI), which played a crucial role in advocating for Kurdish rights and autonomy in Iran.

In a remarkable yet tumultuous chapter of history, Qazi Muhammad became the first president of the Republic of Mahabad, a short-lived and Soviet-backed entity that sought to establish an independent Kurdish state. Despite its lack of international recognition, the Republic of Mahabad symbolized the aspirations of the Kurdish people during a period of intense political upheaval.

Tragically, Qazi Muhammad's life came to a brutal end when he was executed by the Iranian government for treason in nineteen forty-seven. His legacy, however, endures as a testament to the struggle for Kurdish identity and self-determination.
